Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

About these terms

These terms govern your use of the SwiftQuote Solo application for iPhone, iPad and Android ("the App"), the SwiftQuote website at getswiftquote.com ("the Website"), and the Bodyshop Website Service which builds and hosts websites for bodyshops and SMART repairers ("the Website Service"). SwiftQuote is operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading or using the App, accessing the Website, or using the Website Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App, Website, or Website Service.

The App

SwiftQuote Solo is a phone and tablet application that allows bodyshop staff to create vehicle damage estimates, capture photographs, and produce PDF estimates. The App is available through the official app stores for iPhone, iPad and Android.

The App is intended for use by businesses and professionals in the automotive repair trade. It is not intended for personal or consumer use.

Free use and Pro upgrade

The App can be downloaded and used free of charge, with the full estimate workflow available to try. A one-time Pro upgrade (currently priced at £19.99) permanently unlocks estimate printing, parts-list printing, and email features within the App.

The Pro upgrade is a non-recurring, one-time purchase made through the relevant app store where available. All purchases are subject to the app store's terms and conditions. We do not process payments directly.

Purchases of the Pro upgrade are made through the relevant app store and are subject to that store's purchase, cancellation and refund terms, together with any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Pricing may change at any time. Any changes will not affect Pro upgrades already purchased.

Licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your internal business purposes in accordance with these terms. You must not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
  • Sublicence, sell, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit the App
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable law

Your data and responsibilities

All data entered into the App — including customer details, vehicle information, and photographs — is stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App to process personal data about your customers complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and any other applicable data protection legislation. This includes providing appropriate privacy notices to your customers.

You are also responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of data stored in the App. We are not liable for any loss of data resulting from device failure, loss, damage, or any other cause.

Availability and updates

We aim to keep the App available and functioning, but we do not guarantee that it will be available at all times or free from errors. We may update, modify, or discontinue the App or any feature of it at any time without notice.

iOS, iPadOS, Android, App Store or Google Play updates and policy changes may affect the App's availability or functionality. We are not responsible for any such changes made by Apple or Google.

No professional advice

Information on the App, the Website, customer websites, forms, emails or related materials is provided as general information only. It is not legal, financial, tax, business, advertising, compliance, insurance or other professional advice. You should take your own advice where needed.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App, Website and Website Service are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App, Website, customer websites, forms, hosting, email or related services will meet your specific requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

Security and cyber incidents

We use reasonable care when providing the App, Website, customer websites, forms, hosting, email and related services. However, no digital service can be guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available. We are not liable for viruses, cyber attacks, unauthorised access, malware, downtime, data breaches, loss or damage caused by third parties or events outside our reasonable control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, Website or Website Service.

For the App, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro upgrade (if any).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

Third-party services

The App, Website and Website Service may rely on or link to third-party services. These include, but are not limited to, hosting providers, domain registrars, email providers, cloud services, payment providers, app stores, Apple, Google, Meta / WhatsApp, Supabase, Resend, YouTube and other services used to operate or promote SwiftQuote.

We are not liable for interruptions, delays, loss, damage, business loss or service problems caused by third-party services, internet outages, or issues with your device, browser, network or software. Third-party services are subject to their own terms, policies and availability.

Events outside our control

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include power failures, internet outages, hosting failures, cyber attacks, natural disasters, government action, strikes, supplier failure, illness, or other events outside our reasonable control.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the App, the Website, and their content (including the SwiftQuote name and logo) are owned by or licensed to us. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the App or Website after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

Bodyshop Website Service

The Bodyshop Website Service provides simple, professionally built websites for bodyshops and SMART repairers.

Your website package

  • £199.99 one-off setup fee
  • £9.99 per month (hosting and small updates)

The £199.99 setup fee is not payable until we have prepared a draft website for you and you have confirmed that you are happy to proceed. Once you approve the website, the setup fee becomes payable. We will not normally publish the website until the setup fee has been paid. The £9.99 monthly fee begins when the website is published.

The monthly fee covers website hosting and reasonable small updates to existing content. Small updates include changes such as opening hours, contact details, service wording, existing text and replacement of existing photographs. It does not include new pages, substantial redesigns, new functionality, large photo galleries, logo design or significant restructuring of the website.

Where requested work falls outside the monthly service, we will explain this and agree any additional cost with you before carrying out the work.

There is no long-term contract unless otherwise agreed in writing. Either party may end the arrangement at any time.

If a payment fails or becomes overdue, we may suspend the website or related services after giving reasonable notice. We may restore the service once outstanding amounts have been paid.

Domain registration and renewal costs are separate unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing. Where we register a domain specifically for a customer, the domain is intended for that customer's business. We may administer the domain on the customer's behalf while the Website Service remains active.

Larger future changes — such as extra pages, additional photo galleries, logo design, or significant redesign work — are not included in the monthly fee and will be quoted separately if required. Most customers never need these.

If we prepare a draft website and the customer does not respond to reasonable requests for approval, information or changes for 60 days, we may close the project and remove the draft without charge.

Ownership and ending the service

The customer retains ownership of the logos, photographs, text and other materials they supplied to us. SwiftQuote retains ownership of its website templates, builder technology, software, reusable components and underlying systems.

If the Website Service ends, we can provide copies of customer-supplied content that we still hold on reasonable request. The hosted SwiftQuote website itself is not automatically transferable to another hosting provider unless separately agreed.

Customer responsibilities

The customer must provide accurate information about their business. Customers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all information, logos, photos, reviews, approvals, certifications, insurance relationships, warranty claims, accreditations, service descriptions and other materials they supply.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all business claims on their website are true and can be evidenced, including:

  • Manufacturer approvals and approved repairer claims
  • Insurance-related approvals and authorised repairer claims
  • Warranties and guarantee claims
  • Review counts or ratings
  • Accreditations and certifications
  • Service descriptions and area coverage claims

The customer must have permission to use any logos, photos, text, certificates or other documents they supply. By submitting material to the Bodyshop Website Service, the customer confirms they have the necessary rights to use it for this purpose.

When submitting website details, the customer confirms: “I confirm that any approvals, certifications, insurance relationships, warranties, reviews or claims supplied in this form are true and can be evidenced if required. SwiftQuote may use this information to prepare the draft website.”

The customer remains responsible for ensuring their website and business claims comply with all applicable laws, regulations, advertising standards, consumer protection rules, data protection law and industry rules.

Customer indemnity

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold SwiftQuote harmless against claims, losses, damages, complaints, legal costs or expenses arising from:

  • Inaccurate or misleading customer-supplied information
  • Use of logos, photos, reviews, certificates or other materials supplied by the customer
  • Claims made on the customer's website
  • Breach of third-party rights
  • Breach of laws or regulations by the customer

Approval and going live

A draft preview of the website will be provided before anything goes live. Nothing goes live until the customer approves it. The customer is responsible for reviewing the preview carefully and confirming that all information is accurate before approval is given.

Approval confirms that the customer is satisfied with the website as presented, subject to any minor corrections or updates subsequently included within the monthly service.

Content we may refuse or remove

The Bodyshop Website Service may decline to include, or may remove, content that appears misleading, unlawful, copied without permission, abusive or otherwise unsuitable. This does not transfer responsibility for the accuracy of the content to us.

Availability

We aim to keep customer websites live and working. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability — hosting, domain, email, form and other third-party services are subject to their own terms, outages and occasional maintenance. We will aim to resolve issues within our reasonable control promptly.

Limitations

The Bodyshop Website Service is not responsible for:

  • Search engine rankings or Google position — we do not guarantee any specific ranking result
  • The volume of enquiries or business generated by the website
  • Third-party platform issues (hosting, domain registrars, form services, etc.)
  • Information supplied incorrectly by the customer
  • Indirect loss, loss of revenue, or lost profits of any kind

Having a website is not a guarantee of Google visibility or business enquiries. We will build you something solid and functional — what happens after that depends on many factors outside our control.

For the Bodyshop Website Service, SwiftQuote's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the Website Service during the previous twelve months. This cap does not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded or limited under English law.
